Product Donations

Your company can donate new and slightly used products to Project Sharing that will be used locally by qualified charities and non-profit groups locally. Donations are tax deductible and volunteers will pick up the donations at your business.

About Project Sharing

Project sharing serves 9 counties in the Mid Ohio Valley. Currently there are 320 non-profit groups, Title I Schools, churches and other qualified organizations participating in the program. We have agreements with volunteer fire departments, food banks, cloths closets programs, helping hands programs, senior citizens programs, habitat for humanity groups and countless other groups that serve the ill, needy, youth in the area.

Donated goods are distributed by Project Sharing to charities serving the ill, needy, youth and used strictly for their charitable purposes; and will never be sold, bartered, used for raffles or auctions. Participating organizations are required to complete an application, sign an agreement, and provide supporting documentation regarding non-profit status annually.

Project Sharing will accept most any new donated products and some limited used products. If you product is of a hazardous or perishable natural such as fresh food, prior arrangements must be made or the products cannot be accepted. If you product is fresh food, we will work with you to distribute directly to local food banks in the area. We currently do not have cooler space available.

Project Sharing over the last year has handled food, clothing, construction materials, books, office supplies, office furniture, cleaning supplies, white appliances, tools, and household items.

Local Companies

Local companies including retail, wholesale and manufacturing companies can donate directly to Project Sharing. Project sharing volunteers currently do pickups once a week at local retail stores. Large items are generally picked up by appointment. If you interested in donating product, a schedule can be established or pickups can be on a call basis. Donations are tax deductable.

Large Corporations

If you organization is a large corporation and would like to participate on a regional level we would recommend working with the Christian Appalachian Project in Kentucky. They service thousands of groups similar to Project Sharing in the Appalachian region. They strive to promote dignity and independence among poverty-stricken Appalachian residents since 1964.

If you organization is a large corporation and would like to participate on a national level we would recommend working with the Gifts In-Kind International. They service hunderd of thousands of groups similar to Project Sharing. They will assist in coordinating product donations to qualified groups across the US. For additional details about the benefits of participating in Gifts In-Kind International go to the website or call them at 403-299-7521.
